Recently, IDEAS was a finalist in the 2010 Australian Technology Showcase (ATS) Patrons’ Award for Outstanding Export Achievement. The award, which is in its 11th year, acknowledges and celebrates outstanding export achievements by NSW technology companies that are members of the ATS program. Applicants for this prestigious award are independently judged by a panel of representatives from the ATS Patrons.

IDEAS qualified for the finals with its IDEAS Advantage online service. IDEAS Advantage enables companies to save time and make informed decisions when selecting an IT vendor, planning a datacentre consolidation, or assessing the power and carbon footprint of IT infrastructure.
The ATS is a national networking program aimed at promoting and developing export markets for innovative technology-based products. The ATS in New South Wales is managed by Industry & Investment NSW (I&I NSW). I&I NSW was established to assist in building a diversified state economy that creates jobs. The department aims to attract investment to NSW and support innovative, sustainable, and globally competitive industries.
To apply for membership with the ATS, IDEAS needed to demonstrate that its technology meets the following criteria: innovative, scientifically credible, commercially attractive, marketable and exportable, and socially and environmentally beneficial.
